(Bundesliga) Match of the week… is FINALLY back!

Finally! After months of drought, we can return with our match of the week! Thank-you-Germany! The Bundesliga will hopefully be an inspiration to many competitions around the world. Without any audience, we are really curious to see how the entertainment level will be of football.

Finally! After two months of drought, we can return with our match of the week! Thank-you-Germany! The Bundesliga will hopefully be an inspiration to many competitions around the world. Without any audience, we are really curious to see how the entertainment level will be of football. Could we see a laughing tape as we are used from sitcoms? To celebrate the return of the Bundesliga we are handing out a special promotion!

It is a scoop as you won’t read about this promotion anywhere on the site just yet, but… with the restart of the Bundesliga we are giving away a 10 Deutsche Mark (or any other valuta) FREE Bet on german league matches! The question now is.. What match to bet on? How will the teams emerge out of their long stay in the dressing room? Are they still in form? Without further ado, a special episode of:

(Bundesliga) Match of the Week: Borussia Dortmund vs Schalke ‘04

The Kohlenpott Derby! The biggest rivalry in German Football! Schalke is no longer the giant it once was, but it is also no longer the fallen giant. It is a club slowly but steady making their way back to the top. And the doorkeeper to the top has been for years Borussia Dortmund. Their nemesis. The boss you’d have to defeat before encountering the final boss: Bayern München.

Now it is usually prediction time, but for this particular edition of match of the week it is really hard to predict the outcome of the game. So much could have happened in the last two months. And we have no idea what. Looking at the historical statistics, we see almost as many wins, draws, losses and goals for either side. In the last 5 encounters there were 2 draws, 2 wins for Schalke and 1 for Dortmund. So hardly a clear picture there. Sure, Dortmund has the home advantage, but how much does that really count without an audience?

Betting a free bet

If we want to make a prediction, we have to look for something else. We are expecting to see 22 players entering the fields like cows on the first spring day: eager and happy to finally play again. Over 2,5 goals would be our first bet that comes to mind when looking to spend a free bet.

Hopefully the strikers are sharp enough to finish the balls they get catered. We expect the start of this weekend might be a bit rusty, making the second halves more interesting than the first.
